DEAR FRIENDS AND BROOKE FANS, IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN TELL THE STORY HOW YOU STARTED BEING A BROOKE FAN, WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST MOMENT OF KNOWING BROOKE, COLLECTING HER MEMORABILA, SOME SPECIAL ARTICLE OR PHOTO, AND HOW LONG YOU ARE A FAN. MANY ARE BROOKE FANS FOR GREAT COUPLE OF YEARS, WITH MANY BEAUTIFUL AND TOUCHING MEMORIES, SOME ARE BROOKE FANS FROM THE 90S OR IN THE LAST FEW YEARS!!!

Dear friends, I'm surprised no one else responded here yet, this is a great topic. 1981....the year of Beautiful Brooke! I was 16 at the time, as was our beloved Brooke. There are some magazines I read about her from years earlier but I was'nt a fan...yet. There was People 5/29/78, then I bought a copy of Sassy 11/78 because there was a photo of a gymnast inside, not because of Brooke if you can believe that one!! My curiousity piqued when I purchased 5/81 Vogue - Brooke! Red Hot and Terrific!!! After I saw Endless Love I knew I was an "Endless Fan" forever of B's.She is beyond words, her beauty, kindness, talents, humanitarianism.....no other famous person comes close to her achievements. She has been a positive force for everyone ALL these years. Much LOVE to BROOKE!!

but here is my story
the first remember about my brooke fan heart,,,is when i see a brooke photo in a magazine
the photo was this


and i think oh my god ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡this is a perfect face
after this i try to know more about her
my school friends ( bego and miner) and i start to be a brooke fans when we see blue lagoon ,,,we had all our books with photos about the film and we want to have her hair,her eyes and so on......
bego draw really good and we usually draw her,,,,,
after this "endless love" was the histerya,,,,,, we are really crazy ,,,we go to air saloons ( they usually had a lot of magazines) and we cut all the brooke photos that we find ,,,,, during the years we collected all that we can about brooke
and actually bego still have her collection about brooke but only i still continue buy brooke things

Dear Family, here is my story of Eternal Love for Brooke.

La primera vez que vi a mi amada Brooke yo tenía trece años. Me encontraba mirando sin demasiado interés una conocida revista y, de pronto, Ella apareció. Radiante como el Sol, en un contexto mágico y personal totalmente aparte y distinto del resto de contenido impreso.
Dios mío, nunca había visto algo así. Una chica tan preciosa, dulce y gentil, que parecía más un ángel del Señor que un ser humano normal. Pero no, Ella existía de verdad, y se reflejaba ante mis propios ojos, como una aparición del Cielo cobrando vida desde el papel.
Este momento representó un viaje en mi corazón a un lugar totalmente nuevo y maravilloso. En cuatro segundos crucé el Universo entero hasta encontrar un paraíso celestial, de naturaleza amiga y salvaje, donde sólo habitaba Ella, mi Alma y todo mi sentir.
Confieso que no empecé mi colección en este momento, porque los prejuicios de “hombrecito” criado en un ambiente peculiar perturbaron mi camino recto hacia lo más bello y puro que he visto, y he sentido, jamás.
No obstante, como ya dije una vez, de una forma u otra, Brooke siempre estuvo dentro de mí, dándome fuerza y amor para afrontar los desafíos de la vida y para ayudarme a ser una persona mejor. Ella influyó de una forma esencial y maravillosa en mi desarrollo como hombre y como ser humano. No sé qué habría sido de mí sin Mi Brooke.
Permanecí entre el Cielo y las nubes del limbo de la ignorancia por espacio de cuatro años, salvo durante un par de horas (y algunas más, por supuesto) en una sesión de cine juvenil: el día que vi “Tilt” por primera vez. No puedo expresar la belleza de la inocencia, ternura y dulce amor que compartí con Ella a través de una antigua pantalla de cine. ¡Oh!, al pensar en esto todo llega a mí nuevamente, y me hago consciente de que puedo sentir hoy igual que antes. Nada ha cambiado, en realidad.
En 1985, ya sin resistencias interiores, llegó “The Blue Lagoon”. Y ese día el reloj se paró para siempre en mi vida. Nada tuvo sentido desde ese momento para mí salvo Brooke. Mi mente se convirtió en su hogar. Empecé a soñar, dormido y despierto, sin querer saber nada más del resto del mundo que me rodeaba.
Poco después, tras una breve pero desesperada espera, conseguí ver “Endless Love”. Me cuesta expresarme sobre ello. Aún recuerdo aquí, en mi alma y mi piel, la emoción de estar esperando a que todos se acostaran para ver esta película. Sólo puedo decir que ese día morí y nací otra vez. Una persona nueva, de 17 años, se presentaba ante el mundo.
En poco tiempo llegaron “Pretty Baby” (la más grandiosa actuación que he visto en una actriz joven en toda mi vida), “Aventuras en el Sáhara”, “El robo del diamante blanco”… Todas sus lindas películas. Mientras, no dejé de buscar en todas las revistas la belleza de su rostro, que esculpió Dios, y su alma (lo más bello de todo) detrás de la perfección de su imagen.
Siempre seguí su trayectoria desde la distancia; ya nunca, jamás, la pude olvidar. Y hoy me siento muy feliz, orgulloso y afortunado por haber coincidido con ella en el mismo tiempo y en la misma dimensión del espacio. Porque mi esperanza, mi fe, mi ilusión y mi amor siempre se escribirán con un solo nombre: Brooke Shields.

Thank you so much for sharing your history of how it started for you collecting of our dear Brooke
My collecting of Brooke started in 1981. with the photo like this one showed down, where Brooke is in a Valentino pink dress, just my photo was not that big and not in so hq like this one, but it was start of long long beautiful years of Brooke collecting. Many of my colegues from school also collected Brooke photos and we shared sometimes our doble photos, showed it one to another, it was like exebition in a school when somebody brought his/hers Brookie photo collection. My collection changed trough the years because I lost some parts of my collection and than started from the begining in the 80s again. That was so great when I than found some photo of Brooke that I already had in my previous collection that I lost I also liked german magazine Bravo where I found many many beautiful Brooke photos which I will post on our forum in a future. Also some italian magazines where also very very beautiful, but unfortunatly I lost the first collection where there were some really beutiful ones of Brooke pictures. I think that Marie also had almost same situation where she lost some of her first Brooke collection photos and than started again with collecting.Thank you so much dear friends for sharing your beutiful stories of Brooke collecting This is really beutiful how it all started and how it all lasted for almost 30 years. It is a special bond don´t you think

YES ADMIN that's a GREAT idea. I would LOVE to see photos from Brooke's 16th birthday party, those are rare and awesome - she had a cake decorated with a horse on it!!! Also, color photos from studio 54 9/81!!! That's my wish list!!

I could see her last photos at Tim Burton Tribute and I was simply shocked, flying over the clouds!
